| Query Attribute | Impact |
|---|---|
| Date Range | A wider date range will result in a larger report. Consider using the Asynchronous endpoints when querying significant date ranges. |
| Dimensions | Results are grouped by dimensions. A higher number of dimensions will group results into more rows, and more rows will result in a larger report. |
| Dimension Cardinality | Cardinality refers to the number of unique values. Browser is considered a low cardinality dimension, while Domain has the potential to be a very high one. High cardinality dimensions can dramatically increase the number of rows in a report. The domain threshold query parameter can optionally be applied to a query to roll up low-performance domains into a single row in order to reduce report size. Refer to theFAQ for more details on this functionality. |
| Metrics | This has less impact on report size than number of dimensions as it does not increase the number of result rows, only the number of result columns. |
| Filters | Greater specificity of a filter, and a higher number of filters, will result in a smaller report. |
